Irina's art reflects decades of intercultural studies that she carried out during her multiple journeys all around the world and while working on her PhD in Philology thesis. The pursue and perception of Happiness have always been the main themes of Irina's research in literature, history, culture, sociology, psychology making it only natural to find their reflection in her art.

Irina studied oil painting from distinguished contemporary impressionists in Russia and Italy including Svetlana and Federico Perotti, Igor Raevich and Bato Dugarzhapov to name just a few. Their techniques of transmitting elusive moments of beauty and joy to the canvas have been adapted by Irina to depict vivid impressions, treasured memories and colorful dreams in her paintings

The artist has received a number of honored commissions including paintings for private collections and 5* design hotels in Russia, Italy, UK, France, USA (California, Arizona, Florida, Kentucky) and Maldives.

Irina regularly takes part in international art exhibitions and creative projects, her paintings have been acknowledged by several awards and featured in a number of print and digital magazines globally.
artist's statement
Turbulent times make us strive for eternal values. My paintings are my research of world's transformation from self-destruction to re-creation that humanity is passing now, the way towards conscious pursue of Happiness.

Re-thinking impressionists' fundamentals I use two similar but conceptually different mediums separately or together. Vivid full-bodied images are created with oil colours linking my art to historical traditions of depicting eternal beauty of human and nature. Acrylic as a modern material implements synthetic canvas of our current living within artificial news and sublimated identities. Abstracts both in oil and acrylic make an important compliment to general concept reflecting deeper feelings and emotions evoked in us by the world.

Through combination of eternal and modern elements pursue of Happiness in my art becomes a key to inner and outer Balance. I wish my paintings help people to live through turbulent times and teaches all of us to treasure moments of Joy, celebration of Beauty and Life as they are.

elusive identity
«The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web.»

rêves français
«These people have learned not from books, but in the fields, in the wood, on the river bank. Their teachers have been the birds themselves, when they sang to them, the sun when it left a glow of crimson behind it at setting, the very trees, and wild herbs.»

― Anton Chekhov, A Day in the Country
